REAP 2022 Eligibility Criteria: Qualification and Age Limit

Candidates willing to apply for Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) 2022 must comply with academic qualification, age requirement and domicile criteria. Applicants should have completed 10+2 with minimum score of 45%. They must have born after October 1992 and should belong to Rajasthan carrying the domicile of the state.

REAP 2022 Application Form will be soon released online on the official websiteStudents who wish to apply can submit their applications on the official website of exam. Applicants also have to pay an application fee of INR 700 at the time of application form submission. 


REAP 2022 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates who are interested in REAP 2022 must first make sure that they satisfy all the stated conditions set by the examination conducting authorities. There are few specifications mentioned below, to be taken care of:

  • Age Requirement
  • Domicile criteria

Academic Qualification

Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or equivalent with minimum 45% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for those who belong to SC/ ST/ Non-Creamy Layer OBC/ Non-Creamy Layer SBC from the state of Rajasthan. Also, the aspirants must opt for Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects and any one subject from Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science and Biology as optional subjects in 10+2.

Age Requirements

 Those who have born on or after October 01, 1993 are eligible to apply. Age relaxation of 5 years is provided to the candidates who belong to the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and the person with disability categories respectively. Candidates are required to have a relevant approved birth certificate to be considered or they can show their secondary education mark sheet/certificate as a proof to REAP authorities.

Medical Fitness

Candidates are required to carry a Medical Fitness Certificate from a recognized medical which they need to submit while reporting at the college allotted. It should be prescribed by a certified Medical Officer of the Government of Rajasthan or a Registered Medical Practitioner as per the following medical standards:

  • Height: The male candidates who have applied for REAP must be not less than 1.5 m whereas female candidates should not be less than 1.4 m respectively.
  • Weight: Male candidates should weigh not less than 41 kg and female candidates’ approximate weight should not be less than 37 kg.
  • Chest Measurement: This standard is just meant for male candidates who have applied. The chest measurement should not less than 69 cm.
  • All the candidates irrespective of gender should not have any abnormality of the heart and lungs.
  • Candidates who have applied with the disease such as hernia, hydrocele, and piles will be kept on hold which should be cured before joining the course.
  • Vision: Candidates’ vision should be in a normal state. In case of defective eyesight, it needs to be corrected to 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse scenario. Also, they should not have any congenital and other eye diseases. Those with colour blindness are not eligible to apply for Mining Engineering courses from REAP.
  • Speech and Hearing: Candidates must have normal speech and hearing ability.

REAP 2022 Domicile Criteria

The candidates applying for REAP 2022 must carry a domicile of Rajasthan. Given below are few conditions based on which the candidates may become eligible for the counselling process:

Domicile Category – A

The candidates or any of their natural parents (father/mother) is a bonafide resident of Rajasthan.

Domicile Category – B

Candidates having studied continuously as a regular student in recognized educational institutions in Rajasthan from the preceding three years, including the year in which they have passed/appearing the qualifying examination (classes – X, XI and XII).

Domicile Category – C

The candidate is a son/daughter of either a serving employee or of a retired employee of any of the following:

(i) Government of Rajasthan (including officers of All India Service borne on the State cadre of Rajasthan).

(ii) Undertakings/ Corporations/ Improvement Trusts/ Municipal Boards/Panchayat Samities / Cooperative Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan.

(iii) Statutory Bodies and Corporations formed under the Indian Companies Act incorporated in Rajasthan.

Domicile Category – C

Candidates should be a son/daughter of the employee of the State Universities in Rajasthan or Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or Government aided Engineering Colleges of Rajasthan. They must have served at least 3 years satisfying any of the above options.

Domicile Category – C

Candidates should be the son/daughter of the employee of Rajasthan origin, serving in Defence / Central Government services/Public Sector undertakings/National Institutes of Government of India. They must have spent at least three years of service in any of the given options.

Note:

  • Ex-Servicemen and Defence Killed persons must belong to Rajasthan. For the wards of defence personnel from other state but serving in the State of Rajasthan are exempted from the domicile condition and would appear in general quota.
  • The son/daughter of the displaced person from Jammu & Kashmir is eligible for the admission into any listed college under REAP.
