MH CET Law 2023: Application Process

Registration steps for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programs are almost similar. They are listed below:

Step 1: MH CET Law 2023 Registration

  1. Visit the official website or CET Cell’s website.
  2. Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab, which will redirect you to a new screen.
  3. Select the ‘Click Here for New Registration’ tab.
  4. Enter Name, Contact Details and Email ID. 
  5. A provisional Registration No. and Password will be generated and will be sent to the registered Email ID and Mobile Number.

Step 2: MH CET Law Application Form Filling

Log in to the portal with the provisional ID and password. Complete the form by filling in all the details as asked. Click the “Save and Next” button. When you are sure of the information, click on the “Submit” button and move to the next step.

Details For Filling The Application Form

Candidate Name Includes the details of first name, middle name, and last name.
Email ID A valid functional email id that can be used for communication
Mobile Number A functional mobile number so that candidates can receive the notification on the phone.
Candidate Age Age has to be given in years and months eg: 26 years and 6 month
Date of Birth To verify the age DOB is printed in the format of the date, month, and year.
Father Name Name of the father in 50 characters as printed in class 10th certificate
Mother name A name written without a prefix must have 50 characters and must match the name printed on the birth certificate.
Class 10th Marks Percentage marks obtained in class 10 and the year of passing class 10. Details of board cleared in class 10.
Class 12th Marks Details of the stream selected, board percentage marks, and year of passing class 12.
Graduation subjects (Only for 3-year LLB Program) Subjects studied in graduation, university details, and percentage marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
Reservation details Upload the certificate issued and registered with government bodies. The reservation is for Kashmir migrants, SC/ST, OBC, OBC of Gujarat.
Address details Details of street, city, district, etc. in the format displayed on the official website.

Step 3: Uploading of Documents

Upload the scanned images of additional documents, photographs, and signatures. This must comply with the guidelines defined by the conducting body. A brief about the specifications are listed below:

  • Passport size colored photograph of 200 x 230 dimensions.
  • Scanned image of the signature in 140x 60 dimensions with the file size of less than 20 kb
  • All the images must be uploaded in JPEG format.

Step 4: Payment of MH CET Law Application Fee

The application fee for CET can be paid via online mode only. Bank Transaction Charges for online payment of fee will have to be borne by the applicant. Tabulated below is the category wise fee for the exam:

  • Modes of Payment – Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro)/ Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS (Immediate Payment Service), Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
  • Once you have submitted the application fee, do not press the refresh button or return to the back page.
  • An e-receipt will be generated once the application fee is received, take a printout of the form then.
  • In case no fee receipt gets generated, this can mean that the system has failed.
  • In case a candidate uses an international credit card, the transaction will be accepted in the Indian rupee only. The conversion charges will be borne by the candidate.
  • The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Step 5: Submit MH CET Law 2023 Application Form

  • On payment of application fees, an acknowledgment receipt will be generated. 
  • Candidates should ensure that preview the details provided. On confirming that the details provided are correct, click on the final submit button.
  • After successfully submitting MH CET Law 2023 Application Form, take a printout of the form for future reference.

Given below are some important information when applying for MH CET Law 2023 Registration

  • Submit only a single application form. In case multiple forms are submitted, the recent one will be considered.
  • Fill in all the details carefully and preview the form before making the final submission as there is no provision of Form Correction in MH CET Law 2023 exam.
  • Choice of exam center should be made carefully as no changes will be entertained at a later stage by the Competent Authority. 
  • Information regarding the use of scribes by PwD candidates will be clearly mentioned in the online application. One must go through the same thoroughly.
  • Applications found incomplete or defective will be rejected immediately. No representation regarding the same will be entertained under any circumstances.

MH CET Law 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The State Common Entrance Test Cell prescribes the eligibility for the law programs. As per the standards, eligibility is different for 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB programs. Listed below is brief information for the same:

Eligibility for Appearing in MH CET LLB 5-Year Program

  • The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
  • SSC or HSC graduates from a recognized school in Maharashtra with 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST category).
  • Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2023 can also apply online for the CET Exam. However, candidates would be required to produce the documents for the qualifying examination at the time of counseling. 

Eligibility for Appearing to MH CET LLB 3-Year Program

  • The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  • A graduate and or a postgraduate in any discipline from a recognized university in Maharashtra with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • No upper age limit for admissions to 3 year LLB CET.
