IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2023 is defined by NTA, the organizing body for the exam. There are separate eligibility criteria for foreign nationals and Indian candidates. It is important for candidates to check IIFT eligibility criteria 2023 before completing IIFT Registration for admission to MBA IB courses offered at IIFT Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. Foreign nationals have to produce a valid GMAT score for admission. There is no age limit for applying for IIFT 2023.

IIFT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are advised to carefully go through the eligibility guidelines before registering for IIFT 2023 exam.. In case the candidates fail to meet any condition, they would be barred from participating in the further admission process.

IIFT 2023 Eligibility Criteria for NRI/ Foreign Nationals
If an international student (i.e students with citizenship other than that of India) is interested in applying for IIFT 2023, he has to fulfill the following IIFT eligibility criteria in order to be eligible:
- Candidates who have been resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months, and should be outside India during IIFT 2023 entrance exam process.
- Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad have to produce a certificate from the Indian Embassy/ High Commission /Consulate of the present country stating that the candidate has been a resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on the prescribed date.
- NRI-Sponsored candidates and Children of NRIs are not considered under the above category.
- Foreign nationals should possess a valid passport/ travel document from any country other than India.
- Admission will be based on GMAT scores and interviews.
- However, if Foreign nationals are present in India at the time of IIFT entrance test then they will have to take the same.
- GMAT Scores older than 2 years are not valid.
- Candidates who have appeared for any other MBA entrance examination for that year in India such as CAT /XAT /IIFT etc. are not eligible to apply.
- Application Fees for International candidates is USD 200/- and Tuition Fees is USD 60000/- for the complete program.

IIFT Reservation Policy 2023
IIFT follows the reservation norms laid down by the Government of India as it is a public institution. The criteria for reservations is given below:

IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2023: Scholarship
IIFT offers need based scholarships, where the interest subsidy on their education loan is paid for 27 months from the time the loan is taken from the bank.
- Any student who has taken the loan and whose family income is less than INR 4,50,000 per year can apply for this scholarship scheme.
- Depending upon the tuition fee and other expenditure the amount of education loan is revised every year.
- Candidates can visit the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in for further details about all the scholarship schemes offered by Government of India.
- If any student fails any exam in any year of MBA IB program, his scholarship will automatically be terminated.
IIFT Eligibility 2023 - FAQs
Ques. Will IIFT Reservations include the upcoming reservation categories?
Ans. IIFT Reservations will be updated as per any government notifications. As for the upcoming reservation criteria, once the supreme court passes the judgement necessary changes will be made. However, until then new reservation criterias will not be applicable under IIFT.
Ques. What to do if a university delays in providing the marksheets for application?
Ans. If the university of the candidate is delaying the mark sheets then the candidate will have to reach out to the university for a provisional mark sheet and convey the same to IIFT. The IIFT reserves the right to decline any certificate it deems unfit or inapplicable.
Ques. Are Second Year students eligible for IIFT 2023?
Ans. No, second year students are not eligible for IIFT 2023. Only Final year students can apply subject to the submission of requisite qualification by October 7, 2023. Candidates who fail to qualify will have their admission cancelled.
Ques. How to attest the documents for IIFT 2023?
Ans. To attest the documents for IIFT 2023, you will have to sign on the photocopy of the original document. While it is not necessary, you can also add, “I assure that this is the copy of the original document which is in my possession” and sign below it. DO NOT sign or make any marks on the original documents.
Ques. What will happen if the documents are rejected?
Ans. If the documents are rejected due to any reason, or if the documents are deemed unfit by IIFT, the candidate is liable to be disqualified from the course. In such a case seeking clarification from IIFT is the only way to move forward.
Ques. How many seats are available for General Category students under IIFT?
Ans. For the general category, there are a total of 149 seats out of the total 420 seats in IIFTs various MBA Programmes.
Ques. Is reservation criteria applicable to all the specializations?
Ans. Yes, the reservation criteria is applicable to all the specializations including finance, marketing, trading or systems and IT.
Ques. Are reservations applicable to Hostels as well?
Ans. IB courses under IIFT are all residential. However, the reservation criteria is not applicable for the Hostels as all the candidates will be provided accommodations
