GUJCET exam pattern 2023 is released by GSHSEB, the question paper is divided into 3 different sections, which differed according to the requirements of the B.Tech and B.Pharma examination. There are 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects for the B.Pharma exam.
- 1 mark will be allotted for every correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. A candidate could score a maximum of 120 marks in the exam.
- The B.Tech Examination included topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. GUJCET 2023 exam will be attempted in three languages namely, English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
- According to the board, the syllabus for Gujarat Common Entrance Test will be based on class 12 NCERT books. Candidates will be required to prepare for physics, chemistry, maths, and biology subjects. Questions in the exam are solely formed from the topics mentioned in the syllabus. Candidates will have to answer a total of 120 questions in the span of 3 hours. Candidates will not be required to prepare extra topics.

GSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board) conducts the state-level offline test GUJCET(Gujarat Common Entrance Test) for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses in 112 participating institutes. As per the latest reports, the Government of Gujarat is planning to change the marking pattern of GUJCET 2023 Exam by giving more weightage to GCET rather than class 12 results for admission into Engineering or Pharmacy courses.

GUJCET 2023 Important Instructions
The answers will be recorded in an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet that is given with the question paper in the examination hall. There are a few guidelines followed by candidates:
- OMR sheet and question paper had A, B, C, D type written on it. Candidates will be required to fill in the OMR sheet details accordingly.
- Candidates checked whether the pre-printed type of booklet and answer sheet is the same.
- Candidates will be required to circle the correct alternative with a blue or black pen. The circle had to be darkened completely.
- Redoing and darkening two circles or canceling the darkened circles is not allowed. Candidates had to darken only ONE circle.

Ans. The candidate is required to darken the alternative ‘D’ in the given circle in the OMR sheet.
If any changes are made after darkening the circle once, it is not be accepted. The negative marking will be applicable for such answers.
