Ph.D. ECE Course: Admission Process 

Admission in PhD ECE has two paths. It is offered on the basis of merit as well as it is offered by the score attained in an entrance test of the particular college or university.

  • Step 1: The primary step is to submit the application after filling in with the details required.
  • Step 2: The candidate is required to have a certain score in his/ her previous course because the admission is also based on that.
  • Step 3: After qualifying for the cut-off marks the candidate becomes eligible for the particular college/ university. Further the asked documents must be submitted to follow the procedure.
  • Step 4: On the other hand if a candidate is going through an entrance test he/ she must submit their application to their desired college or university offering this course.

Ph.D. ECE Course: Eligibility Criteria

To enter into a Ph.D. course in Electrical Communication Engineering one must pass the following eligibility criteria:

A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 6 and more on a scale of 10 is required. Further a M.Tech degree of a University or an equivalent for Ph.D. in Engineering/ Technology in respective branch. GATE/ NET qualified students are also preferred for admission in this course.

Further a candidate must have a minimum score of 60% in X & XII. BE/ B Tech (ECE or relevant areas of Electronics Engineering) must have a minimum of 60% and ME/ M. Tech/ S ((ECE or Instrumentation or Measurements or Signal Processing or Embedded Systems or VLSI ) with a minimum of 60% score or grade points average from any acclaimed Indian or Foreign University.

Lastly, candidates who have completed their MTech/ME/MSc course in any of the equivalent streams are eligible to apply for the PhD ECE course.
