MSc in Forensic Science is a two-year postgraduate course that focuses on the investigation of artificial crime scenes by collecting and analyzing the evidence for the main goal of criminal investigations.

  • Forensics, Crime & Investigative Techniques: Forensic biology/DNA, fingerprint analysis are other forensic techniques commonly used in criminal investigations. DNA is as unique to an individual as a fingerprint, helping forensic scientists identify or confirm an unidentified person or remove a suspect from a list of suspects
  • Fingerprints and Impressions: A fingerprint is an imprint of a groove pattern on the last joint of a person's finger. The characteristics that fingerprints can help identify are:

its unique and distinctive ridge; Consistency over a person's life, a systematic classification used for fingerprints;

  • Instrumental Methods-Physical: Instrumental analysis selects the physical properties of the sample to be analyzed to determine its chemical composition. Any type of sample analysis is possible, Biochemical, organic, inorganic, physical or analytical.
