● Top Answer By Omkar Rana on 20 Mar 23

Ans. You must submit a certificate as proof of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in qualifying degrees, or else you will not be eligible for admission to M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering. Procedure for applying to M.Tech Biomedical Engineering After MBBS Clear one of the tests AIIMS/MCI/JIPMER/PGI-Chandigarh/AFMC-Pune, DNB Part I national level medical post graduate entrance examinations or GATE Life Sciences for Medical and Biological Sciences. Fill out the application form for Masters in IIT Bombay  Written test and Interview Once your application is selected, you will be called in for the Written Test and Interview. The written test is conducted in the morning and results will be declared in the afternoon. Your interview will be conducted only if you qualify for the written test.  For MBBS students, the written test is of Mathematics only The syllabus for this test is in accordance with that of 12th class CBSE. Pattern: The test pattern comprises both objective and descriptive questions Minimum Rank in AIPGE- This is extremely subjective as it depends on the applications received during that head. The cutoff is decided based on that only. IIT Bombay cutoff is slightly lesser but the written test and interview is quite difficult.Read more

Ques. What is the scope of MTech in biomedical engineering from IIT Bombay?

● Top Answer By Pravalika Srivastav on 21 Mar 23

Ans. The scope of every course spreads over a wide spectrum and cannot be generalized since it's based on one's interests and preferences. However, I have written about the scope of an M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering based on some major aspects Job Prospects : This course offers a number of non-core jobs and core jobs. However, very limited core roles are offered that too with low packages. Many non-core jobs are offered but these are targeted by many; dual degree holders as well as M.Tech. students from other branches so the competition is high. You will have to portray your personality and leadership traits in order to get such roles. Higher Study: IIT Bombay has highly learned professors who have completed their research in elite institutes in the USA before joining IIT Bombay. Joining Ph.D. under them or getting recommendation letters can get you good research positions in top institutes. You will have to work hard to meet the right professor that offers you the best project to work on. Education: Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering in IIT Bombay is more inclined towards Biosciences than core Engineering so it's recommended you take courses from the Electrical Engineering department also. It might be difficult if you don't have a good knowledge of the same but trust me it will help you in the long run. Entrepreneurship: IIT Bombay has a rich startup culture and has given birth to many co-founders. Entrepreneurship broadens the scope for others. For instance, many physicians join to help you. So we can safely conclude that the scope of M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Bombay is wide and offers an abundance of opportunities.Read more

Ques. What are the career opportunities after mtech in Clinical Eng. from IIT Madras?

● Top Answer By Sneha Thakur on 30 Mar 23

Ans. MTech in Clinical Engineering is a great program offered but lacks the necessary hype mainly because not many are aware of this discipline. It’s an excellent program at the Master's level for B.tech in Biomedical Engineering students. Clinical Engineering is a 2.5 years M.tech program in which you have to be associated with 3 institutes IIT Madras: Starting 6 months CMC Vellore: Next 6 Months SCTIMST Trivandrum: 1 year These are excellent in their respective fields and offer the best experience opponents could ask for. This program is for those who are interested in innovating hospitals or creating Medical Devices that can bring massive changes in this field. Under this course, you get hands-on experience by working with doctors. Students have to complete several projects both in CMC and SCTIMST Trivandrum. These projects and experiences help you get a job related to Medical Devices while many even start their own. Once completed, you are required to do a project in any of the 3 locations of your choice after which you get a degree from IIT Madras. Hardly anyone remains without a job after this program. People usually opt for higher studies, and look for core jobs or jobs in MNCs. Overall, the career opportunities for MTech in Clinical Engineering graduates are diverse, and the specific roles and responsibilities will depend on the organization you work for and the specific job you hold.Read more
