MA Hindi First Year Subjects

  • Literature History - Modern Period: Literary modernism originated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and is characterized by a self-conscious break with traditional ways of writing, in poetry and prose fiction writing.
  • Medieval and Ancient History: Human history is commonly divided into three main eras ancient, Medieval (5th century to the 15th century), and Modern History (15th century to late 18th century). 
  • Origin and Development of the Hindi Language: Hindi is a direct descendant of an early form of Vedic Sanskrit, through Sauraseni Prakrit and ?auraseni Apabhra??a, which emerged in the 7th century CE.
  • Hindi Poetry- History and Medieval period: Medieval Indian Poetry became the medium of literature and the instruments of thought in medieval India. It is marked by the presence of the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire between the 13th and 16th centuries.
