BSc Biotechnology Admission 2023 in India is mostly done through merit i.e based on the scores obtained by a candidate in 10+2. However, some colleges offer BSc Biotechnology courses, grant admission based on the entrance exams such as CUET, KITEEE, KCET, etc. conducted at State or University level. BSc Biotechnology Admission Process

The BSc Biotechnology admission 2021 is mainly done on the basis of merit list. However, some of the top colleges/universities conduct entrance exams to carry out the admission process.

BSc Biotechnology Eligibility

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission into the BSc Biotechnology program have been discussed below:

  • Aspirants seeking admission to BSc Biotechnology are required to have passed 10th and 10+2 with Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as core subjects, with minmum 50% overall (45% for SC/ST candidates), and 60% in each core subject. Both PCM & PCB candidates are eligible to apply.
  • In some cases candidates need to pass entrance exams such as CUET, KIITEE, SAAT, etc.
  • The Entrance is usually at a University or College level.

  • Check the Eligibility Criteria for BSc Biotechnology Admission: Candidates should have completed their 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University.

Ans. The minimum eligibility requirement for BSc. Biotech at an Indian college is having passed 10th and 12th with Physics, Biology/Maths and Chemistry as core subjects, and at least 50% overall (45% for SC, ST) and 60% in each of the core subjects in the 12th boards. Both PCM and PCB candidates can opt for BSc. Biotech. Given that the eligibility criteria demands at least 50% in the 12th boards, it might not be possible for you to seek admission into BSc. Biotechnology at an Indian college. But I would advise you to go through the eligibility criteria of some of the private colleges by visiting their official website. Read more
