Kanak Manjari Institute of Pharmaceutical sciences is said to be the first college founded by the Institute constituent of Kanak Manjari Trust.  The college is known for its courses like Post Graduate (M.Pharm), Degree (B.Pharm) and Diploma (D.Pharm) Levels.  The college was founded in 1982. The institute offers four years under graduate course in Pharmacy. It is a constituent of Kanak Manarji Trust.

The college is approved by the Pharmacy council of India, All India council for Technical Education and Govt. in Health and Family Welfare Dept, Govt of Orissa. The course is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology. Objective of the college is to promote drug discovery and identification of potential compounds also to create high-tech professionals.
