Himalayan Pharmacy Institute (HPI) is a higher education institution conducting courses in Pharmacy at undergraduate and post graduate level. The institute was established in the year 1990 and is located in the town of Rangpo (East Sikkim). It is affiliated Sikkim University and approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
The courses offered by Himalayan Pharmacy Institute include Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelors in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Masters in Pharmacy (M.Pharm). The institute also offers admission in Ph.D. program.
- Admissions to D.Pharm shall be allotted in order of merit as per marks secured in 10+2 examination.

- Candidates seeking admission to M.Pharm must have qualified GPAT exam and must have obtained B.Pharm degree from an institute recognized by PCI.

- An application processing fee shall have to be paid in cash or through Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Himalayan Pharmacy Institute” payable at SBI, Majhitar.
- Interested candidates can pursue Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy.
- To be eligible in Ph.D., candidates need to appear in entrance exam conducted by the Sikkim University, followed by selection through personal interview.
- Candidates must have a master’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University and score minimum 55% marks in aggregate.

Himalayan Pharmacy Institute UG Admission 2023
The institute runs courses in D.Pharm and B.Pharm at UG level. D.Pharm is a two-year course affiliated to EADP, the State Board of Sikkim and approved by the PCI with a total intake of 60 students. B.Pharm is a four-year course with approved intake of 100 students. The course is approved by PCI and AICTE.
The candidates seeking admission to D.Pharm shall be selected through merit as per marks secured in PCM/PCB group in 10+2 examination.
The minimum eligibility for B.Pharm is 10+2 examination in science stream with minimum 45% marks with PCB/PCM subject combination. In case of admission to B.Pharm, candidates shall be selected through merit of qualifying examination and marks obtained in entrance test conducted by the Institute.

M.Pharm offered by the institute is a full time two-year course offered in four specialisations. The selection of candidates shall be affected on the basis of GPAT scores.

Himalayan Pharmacy Institute Ph.D Admission 2023
At research level, the institute offers full-time degree in Ph.D. in Pharmacy. The eligibility norms and selection process have been established as per the norms of Sikkim University. Applications from eligible candidates shall be invited through Online Admission Portal of the University. Candidate must have passed M.Pharm with minimum 55% marks to fulfil eligibility criteria.
