MS in ENT: What is it About?

This surgical specialization involves the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck disorders. Such professionals are called Otorhinolaryngologists, Otolaryngologists, ENT doctors, ENT surgeons, or head and neck surgeons.

Enrolled students are trained by means of technical theories and practical lab sessions relevant to the discipline, besides the coverage of a comprehensive syllabus and rotational postings in Oral-Maxilla-facial Surgery, Neuron-surgery, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as a research project in the field of Otorhinolaryngology.

Successful pursuance of the course trains students in treating infections, disorders (hereditary & acquired) and allergies relating to the ear, nose and throat. These specialists are also trained in performing surgeries on the face and the larynx (voice box) to help clear hearing problems, as also cosmetic surgeries, like chin augmentation and hair transplantation.
