NEET UG 2024 will be held on May 5, 2024, for admission to MBBS at Gauhati Medical College. NEET PG 2024 will be held on March 3, 2024, for admission to MD/ MS at Gauhati Medical College.
Gauhati Medical College is a health care institution located in Assam. The medical college was established in the year of 1960. It provides medical education at undergraduate, postgraduate while offering some super-speciality courses as well. All the courses are affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) and department of health and F.W (B). Govt.of Assam.
Gauhati Medical College offers a 5.5 -year MBBS degree, which includes a one-year internship. It also offers both degree (3-year) and diploma (2-year) postgraduate medical courses.
Admission in the MBBS program is done on the basis of marks obtained in NEET UG conducted by CBSE, and for the MD and MS courses, eligible candidates will have to appear in NEET PG conducted by NBE.

Gauhati Medical College MBBS Admission 2023
At undergraduate level, the college offers a five and a half year MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) course degree along with internship. The intake capacity for the MBBS program is 156 seats.
A candidate needs to pass 10+2 level examination with PCB combination and score minimum marks to be considered eligible for the MBBS program.
Admission in MBBS is made through NEET UG. Eligible candidates will have to appear in National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by CBSE. Those who aspire to give entrance test can visit the official website of NEET UG.

Gauhati Medical College MD and MS Admission 2023
At postgraduate level, Gauhati Medical College offers Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) under various specializations. The duration period for each of the specializations is three years. The total number of seats available depends upon the nature of specializations.

- It is high because it takes just 50 MBBS students every year.
- Its campus is clean and beautiful.
- Personal attention is given to each of the students by their teachers.
Both GMC and NEIGRIHMS are good medical colleges. You should choose between them based on your own preferences.
