Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), established in 2003, is a premier institute in media education located in New Delhi. Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) comes under the umbrella of the Apeejay Education Society and offers 1-year Postgraduate diplomas in the field of mass communication in various specializations.

The 1-year PG Diploma has specializations like Television and Radio Journalism/Production, Advertising and Marketing Communication, Digital Media & Online Journalism, Mass Communication and Corporate Communication & Event Management. Each specialization has an intake of 30 students each and the course of 1 year also includes an internship of 8 weeks.

  • Candidates applying for the PG Diploma should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Students studying in their final year of Bachelor degree are also eligible to apply.
  • Admission is done through direct admission or entrance test cum personal interaction.

  • Candidates studying final year of graduation should have 60% or above marks in their previous two years to avail direct admission facility.

Candidates interested in applying for the 1-year PG Diploma courses should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Those currently appearing in their final year examination are also eligible to apply. Preference will be given to those who have an aptitude for critical thinking along with effective communication and presentation skills. The total intake of the course is 120.

AIMC PG Diploma Selection Criteria

Admission is done on the basis of the following parameters:

  • DIRECT ADMISSION (Through Interview only): Such candidates who have secured 60% aggregate or above marks in graduation or in first two years of graduation and whose result is awaited, will be exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test. They will be considered for admission under Direct Admission’ category and will only have to appear for Interview. (OR)
  • ENTRANCE TEST cum PERSONAL INTERACTION: Those candidates who have secured below 60% aggregate marks in graduation or in first two years of graduation and whose result is awaited, will have to appear for a written examination followed by Personal Interaction

  • The written exam is conducted in the Delhi campus and in Kolkata.
  • A common merit list is generated for all candidates at the end of the written test and interview rounds.
  • Preference will be given to those who display the required aptitude in subjects of the course applied for.

Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication Application Process 2023

Interested candidates can either apply online or offline for any PG Diploma course in Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication. Detailed application process is as follows:

  • For candidates applying offline, application form needs to be downloaded from the website.
  •  Duly filled application form has to be sent to the institute along with all the required documents and with a DD of INR 900 drawn in the favour of ‘Appejay Institute of Mass Communication’ payable at New Delhi.
  • For candidates applying online, application form can be obtained online and the application fees of INR 900 can be paid through Net Banking or Credit/Debit Card.
  • After submitting the online application form, candidates are needed to save the form for future purposes.
