NIFT Raebareli Admission 2024: Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

At UG level, National Institute of Fashion Technology Raebareli offers a B.Design course in 4 specializations. Admission to the course is done on the basis of the NIFT entrance examination i.e. CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test). 

Each specialization has 37 seats for Indian students whereas 5 are for NRIs. B.Des is offered in the following specializations:

• Fashion Design (FD)
• Accessory Design (AD)
• Leather Design (LD)
• Fashion Communication (FC)

Eligibility

The eligibility for full-time B.Des is mentioned below: 

• Maximum age should be 23 years as on 1st October 2023. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories
• A passing grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School or any recognized board like CBSE/ State Board etc.  with a minimum of five subjects.

Selection Criteria

For candidates to the UG Design programs, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a Situation Test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination. In case of foreign nationals, the candidate must have a valid SAT score for admission in B.Des.

Eligibility

• Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India or Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.
• There is no age limit for admission to the PG program at NIFT.

Selection Process

For the M.F.M program, the selection process comprises a Written test comprising a General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination. In the case of foreign nationals, the candidate must have a valid GMAT score for admission in MFM.
