National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar offers B.Des in 6 specializations and B.F.Tech in Apparel Production at the UG level.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board or 3 or 4-year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Key Points:
- Candidates’ maximum age must be 23 years as on October 1, 2023.
- Applicants for B. Des who clear the written test will have to appear for Situation Test.
- Candidates applying for B.F.Tech. are called for counselling on the basis of their GAT score in NIFT Entrance Test.

NIFT Gandhinagar M.F.M and M.F.Tech Admission 2023
NIFT Gandhinagar offers M.F.M and M.F.Tech. at the PG level. Candidates must have passed undergraduate degree from any recognized institute/university.
Selection is done on the basis of NIFT score and Personal Interview. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in NIFT Entrance Examination and Personal Interview.
For admission, candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion (GD)/Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of GAT score. For admission in M. Des, candidates will have to appear for GD/PI on the basis of CAT and GAT score.

Key Points:
- There is no age limit for admission in the courses.
- Relaxation of 10% will be given for SC/ST candidates in the qualifying examination.
- Relaxation up to 5% in the minimum marks is allowed to nominees of the Nepal and Bhutan Government to determine their eligibility for admission to a course.
- 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped Candidates as per NIFT norms.
- Admissions will also be offered for Foreign National/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Residential Indians (NRIs) under the Direct Admissions of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme of M inistry of Human Resource Development. NIFT Gandhinagar Application Process 2023
Aspirants looking for admission in National Institute of Fashion Technology(NIFT), Gandhinagar are required to apply in online mode. They are required to register online through the official website of NIFT. Here are the steps to apply:
- Visit the website of NIFT.
- Register in the new user section.
- After completion of the registration process, a verification email will be sent to candidates’ e-mail ID. Click on the ‘Confirm registration’ link.
- Provide basic details like name, DOB, address, academic details and the category under which they are going to apply.
- After entering the personal details, choose the course which they want to pursue according to their eligibility.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature, fill the details asked in the application form and submit the same.
- Make the payment of Application Fee. Fee for General/OBC(Non-Creamy) Category: INR 1500 through payment gateway or Demand Draft. Fee for SC/ST/PHP Category INR 750 through payment gateway or Demand Draft.
- Submit the form.
Note: In the case of candidates making payment through DD, applicants are required to send the printout of the application form along with DD.
Important Points:
- Online registration needs to be done to participate in the NIFT Counselling process.
- Candidate needs to provide their login credentials which are application no., date of birth and password to register.
- There is no fee for the first round of counselling, but the fee of the subsequent rounds is INR 5000.
- Candidates need to select the NIFT campus for counselling.
- Candidates will be receiving a system generated letter in which they will be informed about the documents to be carried at the counselling session of NIFT.
