NIFT Gandhinagar Admission 2024: Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar offers B.Des in 6 specializations and B.F.Tech in Apparel Production at the UG level.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board or 3 or 4-year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Selection is done on the basis of NIFT score in the qualifying examination and Personal Interview. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in NIFT Entrance Examination and Personal Interview.

Key Points:

• Candidates’ maximum age must be 23 years as on October 1, 2023.
• Applicants for B. Des who clear the written test will have to appear for Situation Test.
• Candidates applying for B.F.Tech. are called for counselling on the basis of their GAT score in NIFT Entrance Test.
• Candidates who clear the cut off score set by the institute and NIFT will be called for the admission process in NIFT, Gandhinagar.

NIFT Gandhinagar offers M.F.M and M.F.Tech. at the PG level. Candidates must have passed undergraduate degree from any recognized institute/university.

Selection is done on the basis of NIFT score and Personal Interview. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in NIFT Entrance Examination and Personal Interview.

For admission, candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion (GD)/Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of GAT score. For admission in M. Des, candidates will have to appear for GD/PI on the basis of CAT and GAT score.

Key Points:

• There is no age limit for admission in the courses.
• Relaxation of 10% will be given for SC/ST candidates in the qualifying examination.
• Relaxation up to 5% in the minimum marks is allowed to nominees of the Nepal and Bhutan Government to determine their eligibility for admission to a course.
• 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped Candidates as per NIFT norms.
• Admissions will also be offered for Foreign National/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Residential Indians (NRIs) under the Direct Admissions of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme of M inistry of Human Resource Development. Such candidates must have a valid Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score or GRE Score or GMAT score.
