Candidates for the Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate posts have to mandatorily appear for any one of the following National Eligibility Tests (NET) to be eligible for admission:- CISR-CISR-UGC/ MHRD Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering/ DBT- Biotechnology Eligibility Test/ DAE-JEST & JGEEBILS, NBHM/ ICMR-JRF/ ICAR Test/ DoP-GPAT. JRF and SRF applicants must complete 4/5 years Bachelor’s degree course and postgraduate degree course in related disciplines, while Field Assistants need to be graduates in agriculture/ horticulture/ botany. RAs must be Ph. Ds or postgraduates with minimum 60% marks in graduation and at least 2 years of research experience.
Candidates who have qualified any of the above-mentioned NET examinations can walk-in for interviews at the Indian Institute of Soil Science campus in Bhopal at dates published in national newspapers and published on the IISS website. The institute may also conduct an additional test to further evaluate the interviewees. Candidates must bring along with them originals and self-attested photocopies of educational mark sheets, date of birth proof, qualification, experience and caste certificates, self-attested photographs and 4 sets of complete bio-data. A merit list is published on the website post which an offer is made to the selected candidates.
