Indian Institute of Horticulture is an institute headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka. Established in 1967, the institute is a subsidiary of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

IIHR Bangalore Ph.D. in Horticulture Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should have a Master’s degree in plant pathology from a recognized university
- He/she must not be working below the rank of assistant professor or scientist in ICAR.
- They should score at least 60% aggregate (general category) and 55% aggregate for reserved candidates (SC/ST) in their Master’s degree.
- The students must be at least 21 years of age at the time of admission.
IIHR Bangalore Ph.D. in Horticulture Selection Criteria
- The selection of the candidates is on the basis of academic records, entrance examination and interview.
- 10% weightage would be given to the marks secured by the candidate in their previous educational qualifications.
- 80% weightage would be given to the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination. To qualify for the interview the minimum marks required by the candidate are 50% for general and 45% for reserved category students.
- Those qualifying the entrance examination shall be called for the interview. Four candidates will be interviewed for every one seat and the best one shall be shortlisted.
