The candidates who wish to apply for PhD in Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research should fulfill certain eligibility criteria.
Admission to the program is granted on the basis of the score secured by the candidate in AICE SRF PGS which is an entrance examination for candidates aspiring to take admission in Doctoral Degree Programmes of Agricultural Universities.
The results will be announced in the form of a merit list released by the official website. The merit list shall be prepared individually for every sub-subject under the main subject head, as chosen by the candidate while filling the application form.
In case two candidates get the same marks in the entrance exam, then the person who scored a higher percentage in their Master’s degree will be placed higher in rank and be offered merit over the other one. In case there is still a clash, then the age criteria will be taken into consideration. The candidate who is elder in age would be ranked higher in the merit list.
The final Merit list will be prepared by the ICAR Indian Council of Agricultural Research on the basis of reservation i.e. the categories of the students.
Those who will qualify in the examination will be called for counseling.
