College of Agriculture was started in 1996 for the Hassan district. Initially, due to some constraints in the infrastructure, the classes were conducted at GKVK Campus, Bangalore. Subsequently the new campus at Karekere, Hassan was established in 2006.
College of Agriculture offers three under graduation degree programs. It offers a B.Sc. in Agriculture for a duration of three years.
B.Tech. is offered with two specializations- Biotechnology and Food Science & Technology for a duration of four years.
To be eligible for admission to any of the above-mentioned programs, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification. Admission to the same will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Entrance exam.

Documents to be Produced During CET Counseling
- Attested print out of the application form.
- Marks card and it's attested copy of 2nd PUC.
- Marks card of school which verifies that the student is a resident of Karnataka from at least 7 years.
- Photos of the student.
Note- Attestation on the application form and other documents must be from the college.
The eligibility for securing is rank is at least 45% in the 2nd PUC exam.
- The student will be given a unique user name and password where he/she can log in and apply for the interested college and course.
- The results will be announced in rounds (Usually 3 or 4 rounds).
- If the student gets the required college, he/she can go ahead and pay the fees specified by the particular college.
- If not the above-mentioned case, the student can change the college priorities or wait for the next rounds of both.
After the completion of all the above-mentioned processes, the student can visit the college and go ahead with all the remaining processes specified by the college.
