There are two kinds of MDP programmes conducted at Kochi campus. Open programmes are scheduled across different dates where individual participants or corporate nominees could participate. These programmes enable interaction among professionals across diverse industries. IIMK also designs and offers customized programmes for participants from a particular firm or a business group so as to meet their specific requirements. The curriculum is custom designed to the requirements of the organizations in such programmes.

Management development programmes at the Kochi campus are offered on a variety of subjects and topics relating to business like project management, communication, managerial effectiveness, organizational effectiveness, strategy and leadership. These are mostly three-day programmes and involve faculty from different areas engaging the participants across a range of domains or practice areas. The programmes help the participating executives to learn specific skills, sharpen their abilities in specific areas and develop richer perspectives.
