Novel Institute of Pharmacy Campus Facilities

The highly vibrant, and growth-oriented campus of Novel Institute of Pharmacy is located on a huge area of 15 acres of land. Architecture is a mix of both traditional and modern values, and gives a perfect ambiance for not only academic excellence, but also for students and teachers overall growth. Whole campus is equipped with wifi. Following are some of the other key amenities the institution has for its students and staff members.

Classrooms: Spacious, well-ventilated, and air-conditioned classrooms are built by the college on its campus. And classes are conducted here on a daily basis using the latest technologies, and facilities like projectors, and ICT tools. Availability of internet and comfortable seating arrangement further makes studies more engaging, and collaborative for both students as well as faculty members.

Sports: NIP has recognized the fact that a sharp mind resides in a healthy body, hence sports complexes are developed inside campus for outdoor games like Volleyball, Badminton, Cricket, Football etc. Enough arrangements have been made for indoor games as well such as carrom, chess and table tennis. 

Library: To supplement everyone’s subject knowledge with additional learning sources, and inculcate much-needed reading habits in youths, a leading-edge, and commodious Library has been established on campus. This space is a home to a vast collection of textbooks, national and international journals, periodicals, newspaper, magazines, and reference material for advanced research and development work. 

Hostels: To provide a homely environment to students away from their home, so that they can comfortably pursue their dreams, separate accommodation facilities are offered by the college. These hostels are well-resourced with facilities such as 24*7 water and electricity supply, clean, well-ventilated, and spacious rooms, and recreational space for students to rejuvenate themselves after classes. Security of students is further ensured by CCTV cameras. Wardens are also there to address students' concerns and manage hostels daily operations.

Transport: The college has a fleet of buses to ensure easy pickup and drop of students and staff members from nearby locations of Bhopal. The aim here is to save their precious time so that they can invest it in some productive work.

Canteen: A big, aesthetic canteen has been established by the institute to provide fresh, delicious, and a variety of food items, and snacks, to both students and staff members at a reasonable price. Students also come here to rejuvenate themselves and to have informal chit-chat with their classmates and seniors.

Auditorium: A modern, and technology-enabled Auditorium also exists on NIP campus. It is used to organize events and activities like seminars, guest lectures, project presentations, pre-placement talks, and personality development sessions, etc. Every facility ranging from projectors, public speaking system, audio-video devices, and internet connectivity is available here.

Laboratories: As an institution feels incomplete without a Library, so are the studies without hands-on exposure, hence below mentioned labs have been developed by the college for students to smoothly carry out the experiments and research work:

• Pharmaceutics Lab: In this lab, students get to learn about medication formulation, its delivery and disposition. In other words, the science of dosage form design is taught to them here.

• Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab: This space is well-resourced from teaching as well as research point of view. And students are educated about the practical aspects of chemistry related to the pharma field. Identification of different organic and inorganic compounds through quantitative and qualitative analysis is also taught to them. Knowledge of new-gen instrumentation techniques is also delivered here only.

• Pharmacology Lab: In this space, young minds are educated about the interaction of various drugs with the living system, effects of different doses of medicinal substances as well as the ways through which medicine can be injected into the body. Animal tests are also conducted here by them to ensure the strength of a drug and their impact. It is equipped with audio visual teaching aids including overhead Projectors, LCD projectors, and animal experiments software. 
• Pharmacognosy Lab: This lab is used by the college to teach students about how exactly the medicines are separated from plants, minerals, and animals. In addition, they learn about how medicines are identified, extracted, and quality controlled from natural sources, and how herbal medications are developed through amalgamation of traditional knowledge, current science, and modern technologies. This lab has a crude drug museum, and herbarium specimens of various plant materials.

• Machine Room: This room is well-resourced with instruments and machinery that are dedicatedly used during manufacturing and quality control of tablets, capsules, injectables, liquid orals and ointment sections. 

• Central Instrumentation Laboratory: CIR Lab is the place where avant-garde analytical and high-end instruments are kept, and are dedicatedly used for research activities. Highly qualified and trained professionals provide scientific and technical services along with necessary guidance to students at every step.
