Manipal University Online Faculty

The faculty is qualified, with all members holding postgraduate degrees and some with PhDs. Courses align with industry standards and offer elective options. Each semester includes 5-6 subjects, with assessments divided into internal assignments worth 30 marks and theory exams worth 70 marks. The theory exams comprise 20 marks for MCQs, 20 marks for short answers, and 30 marks for long answers. Lectures are primarily online, held on weekends, and recorded videos are available.

Student interaction with faculty is limited to chat boxes during live classes, as microphones and cameras are disabled. Faculty members are generally helpful in resolving queries through discussion forums and the online student help desk. Despite the limitations in communication, the faculty is considered average and comparable to other private colleges. There are no mid-semester exams; instead, the term-end exams occur each semester, totaling six throughout the program, along with practical assignments.
