IISER Tirupati offers the full-time BS-MS course for a duration of 5 years. Admissions for the same is based on the aggregate in 10+2 examination and merit-based on any of the listed entrance exams.

IISER Tirupati BS-MS Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidates seeking admission into the BS-MS course must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or its equivalent with Science stream.
• Candidates should have scored a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in aggregate, in order to be eligible for BS-MS Admission at IISER Tirupati.

IISER Tirupati BS-MS Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for this program is based on three schemes and they are mentioned as follows:

• KVPY: Candidates seeking admission must have a valid KVPY fellowship under SA, SB, SX category. In addition, there is also a cutoff criteria according to scores obtained in 10+2 board examinations.

• IIT-JEE: In addition to the valid 10+2 board score, candidates scoring the rank within the given limit released by the Joint Admissions Committee (JAC) for that particular year are eligible for this program.

• SCB: Candidates who have obtained the cutoff marks specified for the board are eligible to appear for the online IISER aptitude test (IAT) through the SCB channel.

Candidates eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced 2021 Exam can follow the below mentioned points to apply for the JEE Advanced 2021 Exam online.

• Visit the official website of JEE Advanced and register yourself using the application number and password of JEE Main 2021.
• Start filling your JEE Advanced 2021 application form by entering all the required information such as educational qualifications and personal details.
• Upload the scanned images of all your required documents.
• Make the payment of INR 2800 (INR 1400 for the female and SC/ST/PwD candidates) for application fee through the digital payment platforms or net banking/ credit card/ debit card.
• After the successful payment, candidates are required to visit this webpage again and download the “Registration Details” with a unique registration number.

The integrated Ph.D. was initiated in the year 2018 at the institute in four main specializations namely, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. The duration of the program is for 6 years with research work. 

IISER Tirupati Integrated Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission into the I-PhD program must have minimum 60% marks in aggregate in BSC/B.tech/B.E or any equivalent degree.
• Relaxation of 5% in marks is provided to the SC/ST, PD, and KM students.

IISER Tirupati Integrated Ph.D. Selection Criteria

• To qualify for admissions, candidates must obtain valid scores in the qualifying examination. The entrance exam required for the respective courses is given below:
  • Biology: JGEEBILS / JAM (BL/BT)
  • Chemistry: JAM (Chemistry)
  • Mathematics: JAM (MA/MS) / NBHM MA/M.Sc Scholarship
  • Physics: JAM (Physics) /JEST (Physics)

• The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an interview/written test conducted by IISER Tirupati and the final selection will be based on the interview and the academic performance.

The Ph.D. program is a 5-year program offered by the institute with various disciplines and associated interdisciplinary areas of research. This program involves coursework and teaching assistantship (TA). There are 3 specializations offered under the PhD Program, namely: Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

IISER Tirupati Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission in any of the PhD disciplines must M.Sc with 55% marks in aggregate or 60% in aggregate in B.E/B.Tech.
• Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST/KM/PD candidates.

IISER Tirupati Ph.D. Selection Criteria

• To qualify for admissions, candidates must have a valid score in the qualifying examination for the respective subject. The entrance exams for the courses are given below:
  • Chemistry - GATE or CSIR/UGC-JRF or CSIR/ UGC NET-LS
  • Biology - JGEEBILS or DBT-JRF-A / ICMR-JRF / DBT-BINC / ARS-NET (ICAR)/ UGC-CSIR JRF/ DST-INSPIRE
  • Physics - CSIR/UGC/NET or JEST or GATE

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and final selection will be based on the interview and academic performance.

• Generate the OTP for future logins and logouts by submitting the basic details such as name, DOB, contact number and email.
• Fill in the personal details and qualification details 
• Candidates must upload the scanned copies of mark sheets, passport size photograph and signature.
• Pay the registration fees according to the described fees which vary according to category and submit the form.
