“The atmosphere at JSJC is welcoming and encouraging. JSJC is an unconventional and skill-based course as opposed to textbook learning. I interned at BBC-World, Delhi, for almost a month. This helped me step into an office environment and understand how a news organization functions. JSJC is not only provided me with real-time opportunities but also shaped my interest in pursuing higher education in human rights.”
- Ashima Sharma

“At JSJC, I learned the importance of working on a deadline - a skill which will help me throughout my life. Here, there is a big emphasis on fact-checking and avoiding fake news. This is something which, I feel, is crucial in a world where anyone can act as a journalist.”
- Aditya Talpade

“I was lucky to do my first internship at the Times of India, Chandigarh. The happiness of seeing my article with a byline in the newspaper cannot be put in words! I wanted to explore every type of media to find out my area of interest. So, next, I interned with India Today in the digital department. I could learn a lot during both my internships: from managing time to being responsible to work in a team. But the most important lesson: Never be afraid to ask questions.”
- Harleen Walia
Class of 2020
“My time at JSJC was very special. I wanted to get into a university that nurtured an environment for the holistic development of its students. This is why JSJC was the school of my choice. Not only was I learning from some of India’s finest faculty but I was also guided to form and develop a personality of my own. My co-curricular activities at JSJC rooted a sense of confidence in me and defined me as a person. Currently, I am working as a Research Scholar at JGU.”
