Eligibility Criteria

For Ph.D. programmes:

In case of Ph.D. admissions, candidates (only women) should have obtained Master’s degree in the relevant field of study with at least 55% aggregate of marks or should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Candidate who possesses at least 5 years work experience (Teaching/Industrial/Research) may be given relaxation of 5% of the minimum required aggregate by the Vice-Chancellor for registration to Ph.D. programme

Exemption from the requirement of appearing in RET:

A candidate who have qualified NET, SLET, GATE or M.Phil. (If the candidate was admitted to M.Phil. through a research entrance test) may be exempted from the entrance test.
A candidate belonging to the Faculty of Fine Arts (Visual Art, Music & Dance) and Design, will be exempted from the entrance examination. Such candidates should contact the research section separately.
