Established in 2013, Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is situated in Koppal, Karnataka. Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Karnataka and recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).

Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) MBBS Admission 2023
At the undergraduate level, Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS with a total intake of 150 students. Candidates applying must have passed 10+2/HSC/intermediate or any equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% for SC, ST and other backward classes). Also, candidate should have studied English as one of the languages at 10+2 level. Admission will be on the basis of NEET UG-2018 followed by counselling process.
There are two categories of students who can apply:
- KEA-CET: 85% seats are reserved for the domicile candidates of Karnataka.
- NEET (AIQ): Rest 15% seats are filled through centralized counselling by CBSE board.

Candidate must have completed age of 17 at the time of admission. Upper age limit is 30 years for reserved category students and 25 years for unreserved. The mode of examination is offline with the time duration of 3 hours. The paper consists of objective type questions. There are overall three sections in a NEET UG paper:
- Physics (Number of Questions: 45, Section Score: 180)
- Chemistry (Number of Questions: 45, Section Score: 180)
- Biology (Number of Questions: 90, Section Score: 360)

Candidates can apply for the course offered by the institute through online mode only. Candidates need to register for the NEET UG examination through the official website. Once the results are declared for the state counselling, candidates can apply for KCET through the official website.
