The MBBS course is a four and half year followed by one year compulsory rotatory residential internship. The lasting 12-month internship includes short courses in community health, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, child health, orthopaedics, emergency medicine and various specialties. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students should have passed the 10+2 examination or High School Senior Secondary exam by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent exam conducted by any state Board or Equivalent.
  • Candidates should have secured a minimum 50% Aggregate marks in PCB.
  • Aspirants should have completed the minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS course.

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates aspiring to take admission in MBBS course offered by Government Medical College, Kollam must appear for the NEET conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Admission to all the Government, Private, Central and Deemed Universities will be based on NEET scores and the seats for all colleges / institutions / universities will be offered through counselling based on the cut off scores.
