SAL College of Engineering is a part of the SAL group of institutions Ahmedabad established and managed by the prominent steel production company Shah Alloys Limited.
The college was established in 2012 and all of the degrees issued by it are affiliated to the Gujrat Technical University.
SAL offers excellent placement for its students. Some of its previous graduates have managed to secure decent packages. It also offers attractive internship opportunities for students. Byju's, Capgemini, TCS are some of the most prominent recruiters who regularly visit the campus.

SAL College of Engineering runs their B.E. programs through their main academic departments. A prospective student can choose any of the following specializations.
The basic eligibility for joining the B.E. program of SAL College of Engineering is the successful completion of 10+2 education from a recognized institute with no less than 75% marks.
Additionally, students also need to appear and obtain a valid non-negative score in either GUJCET or JEE Main.
The selection of the students will be done based on the ranks obtained by them in the standardized tests. Students with valid GUJCET rank may be given first preference. The institute reserves the right to offer some seats under management quota.
Currently, SAL College of Engineering offers a single M.E. course run by the Mechanical department. The course focuses on Thermal Engineering.

Prospective students who wish to pursue the M.E. program of SAL College of Engineering needs to successfully complete a bachelor's degree from a recognized institute in a relevant field of engineering, preferably mechanical.
Additionally, successfully passing the GATE exam conducted by the IITs is mandatory for PG admission.
The score and rank obtained by the student in the GATE exam will be the most crucial factor in the admission decision. Management quota may be offered by the institution.
