Indian Institute of Remote Sensing is a constituent of the Indian Space Research Organisation, Department of Space, Government of India. IIRS was established in 1966. The MTech course in Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System is offered in collaboration with Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The courses are offered in 9 different specializations. These are:
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems, Satellite Image Analysis, Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, Urban and Regional Planning, Geomatics, Water Resource, Agriculture and Soils, Forest Resources and Ecosystem Analysis, Applied Geoscience.
