Shyampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya UG Eligibility Criteria

•  A candidate who has cleared the Higher Secondary (10+2) is eligible to take admission to the 1st year in any subject like B.A./B.Sc./B.Mus. (Honours/General) ensuring that he/she has also passed in English.
• Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Vocational examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to take admission to the B.A. (General) 1st year Course of Studies taking the subjects under Humanities Division only.
• Students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from the All India Boards/Councils need not require to submit Migration Certificate for getting Registration under this University.

• Admission for UG courses starts on the day when 10+2 Result is officially released.

A candidate who has cleared the graduation from any recognized University. 

Prerequisites for Honors Group

1. a) A Candidate should possess a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination or 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
2. b) For reserved category candidates, there should be 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
