National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hajipur (NIPER Hajipur) is a public pharmaceutical education and research university located in Hajipur, Bihar, India. Established in 2007, it is one of the seven National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPERs) under India's Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

The Institute is presently rendering its academic and research activities through three departments viz, Biotechnology, Pharmacy Practice, and Pharmacology & Toxicology with an intake capacity of 16 PG seats in each Department and a total of 6 Ph.D. seats.

To be eligible for the M.S. programs, the candidates must possess a B.Pharm./M.Sc./B.Tech. degree in a relevant discipline with a valid score.

To be eligible for admission to the doctoral program, the candidate must possess a M.S. or M.Tech. in the relevant discipline.

Admission to all the courses will be done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in NIPER JEE followed by counseling. To apply for the same the candidates must visit the official website of NIPER JEE.

M.S. (Pharm) in Biotechnology: Candidates with a B.Pharm degree from any recognized University are eligible. In the case of M.S. (Pharm) in Biotechnology, M. S. degree holder in Biological Sciences discipline from a recognized University can also apply.

M.S. (Pharm) in Pharmaco-informatics: Candidates, who possess any of the following degrees- M.S. (Organic / Physical/Pharmaceutical Chemistry); M.S../B. Tech. (Bioinformatics); M.S. (Biochemistry / Biotechnology/Molecular Biology and Microbiology), are eligible.

M.S. (Pharm) in Pharmacy Practice: Candidates who have done B.Pharm are eligible to apply

Admission will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in Joint Entrance Examination NIPER followed by counseling.

NIPER Hajipur Ph.D. Selection Criteria

Admission to the Ph.D. Programme will be based on the combined merit obtained by a candidate in the entrance examination (NIPER JEE) and interview. Interviews of the eligible candidates for the Ph.D. Programme will be conducted based on the merit in the entrance examination.

NIPER JEE Exam Pattern

Mode of Exam: The exam will be held in offline mode.
Type of Questions: The questions will be of MCQ type.
Number of Questions: Total 200 questions will be asked in the exam.
Duration of Exam: The exam will be of 2 hours.
Negative Marking: 25% marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
Marking Scheme: For each correct response 100% marks will be awarded.
