The CDE offers admission to UG courses of BA, B.Com, and BBA. The courses shall be offered for a period of three years. The selection to the courses shall be affected on the basis of merit as per marks obtained in last qualifying examination.
A candidate who has passed the 2-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-university Education Board or 3-year Diploma course duly recognized by Karnataka State Technical Education Board or equivalent examination is eligible for UG programs.

Key Points:
At PG level the CDE offers MA in six subject specializations and M.Com program. The admissions are solely based on merit of marks secured by candidates in the last qualifying examination. A candidate who has passed bachelor’s degree from Mangalore University or from any other University considered equivalent is eligible for admission to these programs.

Key Points:
B.Ed course offered by the institute is a two-year program. The course commenced from the year 2017 with an intake of 500 students. Selection will be done as per the seat matrix for reservation on the basis of total marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. A merit list based on the total marks obtained by the candidates will be prepared by the Selection Committee. All selected candidates must report on the First day of the Pre-admission Counselling for confirming their seats.
Candidates with 50% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Science/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity are eligible to apply. Also, those who have a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or equivalent are equally eligible.
