Krishnagar Govt. College Admission 2023: Merit List, Application process

The Krishnagar Govt. College offers Bachelor degree programmes in honours and pass courses. It provides B.A. (Honours) degree under six different specialisations, while B.Sc. (honours) degree is provided under eight different specialisations. In addition, it offers BA (General) for students looking to pursue a pass course in Arts, and B.Sc. (General) with two specializations - Pure Science and Bio Science, for students looking to pursue a pass courses in Science.

Application process for UG courses in Krishnagar Govt. College generally starts in May every year. Duration of all the UG courses in Krishnagar Govt. College is 3 years.

Key Points to be Noted:

• 53 seats are available for general candidates in all the specialization of B.A honours except Political science which has 45 seats available for general category.The remaining seats are for reserved candidates
• 2% marks will be deducted from the total percentage obtained in B.A./ B.Sc. (Hons.) exam for the candidates who passed the qualifying exam.

The Krishnagar Govt. College offers master degree courses in Arts as well as Science streams. The candidates can opt for Bengali or Philosophy in Arts section and Science students can choose from either Geography or Zoology.

Application process for the admission in PG courses start from the month of August every year. Only applicants with a minimum of 45% marks in B.A./B.Sc. can apply.

Key Points to be Noted:

• 60% of the seats are reserved in each course for those candidates who have Graduation with Honours in the respective subjective from Home University (Kalyani University).
• The remaining 40% seats will be for candidates from other Universities as well as candidates from home university who do not figure in the 60% merit list.
• The candidates passed before 2015 are not to be considered for admission in M.A / M.Sc course.
