Course Details

B.Pharm degree offered through the Department of Pharmacy at KAHE (deemed-to-be) University was launched in 2015 with approval from PCI. The four-year degree is offered in the semester-mode, under the Choice-based Credit System. The medium of instruction and evaluation of the program is English. KAHE also allows lateral entry into the third semester for candidates who have qualified a PCI-recognized D. Pharm program.

  • B. Pharm applicants at KAHE need to have qualified the 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education.
  • Applicants must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology in 10+2.
  • For Lateral Entry into the second year/ third semester of the B. Pharm program, candidates holding a PCI-approved D. Pharm certificate will be considered.

  • In case of offline submission of the form, the application fee of INR 500 plus INR 50 postal charges can be paid through a demand draft in favour of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, payable at Coimbatore.
  • For online applications, make the application fee payment through the payment gateway using either a credit/debit card or net banking.
  • Complete the Application Form clearly and correctly with all required details.
  • Affix a recent, clear, passport-size photograph on the form.
  • For online submission of the form, upload scanned copies of photograph and specified supporting documents.

  • In case of online submission of the form, retain a printout of the filled-in application for future reference.

Karpagam College of Pharmacy B. Pharm Course Details

The B. Pharm program at KAHE is of 4 years’ duration split into eight semesters. The program is delivered through classroom lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions. The minimum credit requirement to complete the degree is 209. Students who did not study Mathematics or Biology may be required to earn additional 2 – 3 credits for Remedial Mathematics or Remedial Biology courses in the first semester.

Students are required to complete 150 hours of Practice School during the seventh semester and submit a written report which is evaluated during the semester-end examination. Students need to choose two elective courses from a list of nine in their final semester.

A mandatory group project work related to an elective subject has to be taken up during the final semester and presented during semester-end Practical exams.
