Deccan College of Engineering & Technology Admission 2024: Registration, Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

DCET offers a 4-year B.E course under 8 disciplines. Admissions to the course will be based upon Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). 

Minimum educational qualification for applying is a Higher Secondary Examination certificate with Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology from CBSE or any recognized board. Candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks. After the declaration of the result, counseling will be conducted online

DCET Hyderabad B.E Eligibility Criteria:

• 10+2 passed with Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science as compulsory subjects and any one of the following- Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology.
• Aggregate 50% marks should be secured in the final examination.
• Relaxation of 5% will be given to SC/ST candidates in the qualifying degree exam.
• 70% seats will be filled through TS EAMCET and rest will be filled through Management Quota.
• For Management seats, applicants will be admitted through merit in qualifying exam.

Selection Criteria:

On the basis of score of Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET)

M.E/ M.Tech degree courses are offered by DCET for a duration of 2 years. Candidates will be selected through the state level entrance exam- Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) or GATE.

The exam will be held in offline mode. The Application fee for General candidates is INR 800 and SC/ ST is INR 400. 

DCET Hyderabad M.E/M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with (10+2) +4 system and minimum 50% marks.
• Relaxation of 5% will be given to SC/ST candidates in the qualifying degree exam.
• Appearing students can apply for admission.

DCET Hyderabad M.E/M.Tech Selection Criteria:

• Selection will be based on the marks secured in the PGECET.
• 85% seats will be reserved for the Local candidates.
• 30% of seats will be reserved as Management seats which will be filled on the Merit Basis.
• Candidates with a valid GATE score can also apply for admissions. They are exempted from PGECET.

The institute offers admission to MCA and students with a graduation degree in any stream can apply for admission. Minimum 50% should be secured in the qualifying examination.

Candidates will be selected through the state level entrance exam Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET). 

DCET Hyderabad MCA Eligibility Criteria:

• Graduation Degree holder in any subject from a recognized university or institution.
• Minimum 50% marks secured in the final examination.
• Appearing candidates can apply.

DCET Hyderabad MCA Selection Criteria:

Admission to the course will be based on the marks secured in ICET. TS ICET will be conducted online. The exam will have 75 Multiple Choice Questions (200 marks).

Candidates need to score minimum 25% marks for qualifying the examination.
