Online Mode

Step 1: Visit the official website of the college and go to ‘How to Apply’.

Step 2: Fill the online booking form with a valid email id and contact number.

Step 3: Pay an application fee of INR 1,500 via Net Transfer/ Credit/ Debit Card.

Offline Mode

Step 1: Collect the prospectus and application form send a non-refundable Demand Draft of INR 1,500 from a nationalised bank in favor of "B.P.Marine Academy" payable at Navi Mumbai. Please mention the academic programme name.

Step 2: Write student’s names and contact no with full address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft. Prospectus and Application Form will be available at mentioned address by Speed Post.

Ques. How to enter Merchant Navy with low PCM?

Ans. For B.Tech Naval Architecture and Ship building 50% average in PCM and Pre-Sea Training G.P. Ratings- 50% PCM in 12th. The following are the requirements are as follows:

Physical requirement would be a good vision of 6/6. The candidate should be physically and mentally strong.
The selection procedure would include a written exam in PCM -All India Merchant Navy Entrance Test (AIMNET)
Interview on General awareness and knowledge about sea trading
A psychometric assessment test to determine mental preparation of the candidate.

Ques. How to become an electrical officer in ship?

Ans. You are determined to find a job at sea. The institute offers a suitable option for that- an electro technical officer. An electro technical officer is one of the most important people on a vessel, especially when it comes to his/her expertise in handling electrical equipment of the vessel. For those who are interested in maritime jobs, a ship officer handling the electrical supervision of the vessel can be a suitable career choice. As an electro technical officer, your main duty would be to ensure functioning and maintenance of electrical equipment on the vessel.

Ques. What are the career prospects of BPMA?

Ans. BPMA has tie up with one of the largest shipping companies of the world (Peter Dohle managed by Doehle Danautic India Pvt. Ltd.). 85% of HND Deck Cadet/ Engine Cadet has been placed in the above company. Other shipping companies also come to BPMA for the campus interviews. 90% of IMU Cadet and 75% of GP Rating / Saloon Rating boys has got placement in different shipping companies. The candidate who has not been selected in the campus on successful completion of respective Pre-Sea courses will qualify to take up employment as seamen aboard a ship of National or International Flag on their own. Due to vast increase in the sea transportation there is a great potential of job opportunities for seafarers both in Indian and Foreign Shipping companies as a crew member.
