School of Correspondence Education, Karnatak University, is one the renowned open universities in India. The university’s main body was established as early as in 1949 and inaugurated in 1950. Karnatak University School of Correspondence Education accepts applications from all candidates who meet the basic eligibility criteria set by the university towards the existing courses. In case og UG, the applicant is required to pass 10+2/PUC/equivalent in the relevant stream to be considered eligible for applying to any of the UG courses offered by the university.
Admissions are purely subject to first-come-first-serve basis. A portion of the seats are reserved for candidates coming from the underprivileged castes as per Government reservation rules. Duly filled-in application form must be submitted in person along with photocopies and original copies of educational documents which should be returned to the candidate after verification. For outstation candidates, a certificate of migration is required.

Candidates applying for any of the UG courses are required to successfully complete 10+2/PUC in the relevant stream to be deemed eligible for the course applied for.
Selection to any of the UG courses offered by the university is subject to meeting the basic eligibility criteria. The applicant will further require to remit the prescribed fees to be eligible for selection.
Final admission to the aforementioned courses is declared after remittance of the prescribed fees. Reservation is provided for candidates belonging to the backward castes.
