Stage 1:
Written Test - Most institutes conduct their written tests between November and January. The written tests, inter alia, include the following:
Quantitative Skills- This section of the MBA written examination tests aspirants’ skills of up to Higher Secondary school mathematics. The common topics include.
Arithmetic (Number Theory, Ratio and Proportion, TSD, Percentages, Partnerships, Mixtures etc.)
Geometry (Lines and Angles, Triangles, Circles, Co-Ordinate Geometry etc.)

To clear the written test, candidates are needed to maintain balance between speed and accuracy. Qualifying students are called for Group Discussion and Interview.
Stage 2:
Group Discussion and Interview - This stage of the process is held between February and March for most institutes. GDs and PIs are undertaken to check the candidates’ personality traits such as Group Behaviour, Awareness, Communication skills, Reasoning ability, Flexibility, Leadership, Assertiveness, Initiative, Confidence, Creativity, to name a few. An interview can be broadly categorized into Personal Interview and Group Interview. In Personal Interview, apart from personality traits, the interviewing panel assesses the candidates’ academic performance, goals and self- awareness. In Group Interview, apart from the parameters mentioned above, candidates are also assessed for analytical ability.
Stage 3:
Admission: After having cleared these 2 stages, candidates are notified for admission. Most institutes ask the candidates to pay the 1st instalment of the course fee within 30 days from the date of the call.
