The college offers Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) and B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) spread over a period of six-year and four-year respectively. For B.Pharm, candidates seeking admission to these courses must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 examinations conducted by a recognized HS board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology/Maths/ Computers as compulsory subjects. Candidates who have scored minimum 50% marks in D. Pharm exams conducted by an institute recognized by PCI are also eligible to apply for B. Pharm lateral entry (Direct Second Year). SJCP offers M.Pharm which is of two-year period and included specializations such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacology. Candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations conducted by a recognized HS board or university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Maths as compulsory subjects are eligible to apply. Those who have completed a vocational course (V.H.S.E) of Kerala post 1994-95 with Group A (NCERT approved Physics, Chemistry and Maths syllabus) and Group B (NCERT approved Physics, Chemistry and Biology syllabus) subjects can also apply for the D.Pharm course.
Admissions are based on merit in the qualifying examination. 50% of seats available for the D.Pharm program are filled by management quota. Marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology is considered for evaluating merit for management quota seats. Rest of the 50% seats are filled on the basis of ranks secured by applicants in the merit list, based on marks obtained by applicants in Physics and Chemistry at the Higher Secondary level.
