Maharishi Markandeshwar College of Dental Sciences and Research Admission 2024: Courses, Application Process, Fees

The college offers degree course of BDS recognized by DCI. The selection of candidate is strictly done through NEET UG conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The candidates who clear the examination will be required to register for counselling that will be held in online mode by DGHS(Director General, Health Services) on the basis of merit ranks/merit of NEET UG.

For BDS selection, candidates must have passed their class 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Mathematics or any other elective subjects from a recognized board.

Key Points for BDS Admission:

• There is 5% relaxation for reserved category candidates.
• Candidates must complete 17-year of age at the time of admission or on/before December 31.
• Candidate should at least score 50 percentile or above to be called as NEET qualified. For reserved category 40 percentile or above is compulsory.  

The college also runs MDS degree course at post graduation level in nine specializations. Out of total seats offered by the college 60% would be filled under Open Category Merit and remaining 40% seats would be filled under Management Quota.

To be eligible a candidate must hold a BDS degree recognized by DCI. Admissions to Open Category Merit would be done on the basis of relative Haryana State merit of NEET MDS. All candidates must register online to take part in the admission process conducted by Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Science.

Key Points for MDS Admission:

• In case of Management Quota seats would be allotted based on All India Ranking/Merit of NEET BDS. Second preference would be given to Haryana State Merit.
• Candidates must complete Rotatory Internship by March 31 and should be registered permanently under DCI.
• Final admissions are given after verification of eligibility criteria and original documents.

Interested candidates can also opt for Diploma course in Dental Hygienists and Dental Mechanics after class 12 and Certificate Course of Oral Implantology and Aesthetic Dentistry after graduation. Diploma courses are for two-year and Certificate courses are for one-year.

Admissions are based on merit of qualifying examination subject to availability of seats. The college conducts counselling where admissions would be confirmed after payment of fee and verification of eligibility criteria and documents.

Key Points for Admission:

• Candidates seeking admissions into Diploma courses must have passed studied 10+1 or 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized board.
• They must also complete 17 years of age at the time of admission or within three months of it.
• Certificate course admissions are given to those candidates who have completed BDS from a recognized university/institution.
