Samsi College was founded on October 14, 1968, and is located in Malda, West Bengal. The college is affiliated to the University of Gour Banga, Malda and is accredited by NAAC. Samsi College offers BA (Honors) with 10 specializations, BA, B.Sc and B.Com at the UG level.

Marks of top five subjects are taken into consideration while calculating the aggregate marks including English and excluding Environmental Studies.
Applicants who have the gap of 2 years or more from the year of passing the qualifying examination are not allowed to get admission in the course.

Those who have passed 10+2/ HSC with English as a subject from West Bengal Council for Vocational Education and Training are also eligible to apply for admission to UG (General) course.
The aggregate marks are calculated by adding the marks obtained in top 5 subjects including English and Excluding Environmental Studies and dividing the sum by 6.
5% and 10% merit points are deducted from the total merit points of the candidates who have passed 10+2 in 2015 and 2014 respectively.
