Prabhu Jagatbandhu College, Howrah was established in 1964. It is popularly known as Andul College. In 2014 the college was Celebrated its Golden Jubilee. The college is affiliated to University of Calcutta. It offers undergraduate programs in arts, science and commerce streams in various fields. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The College has opened a study centre of Netaji Subhas Open University from January, 2004 to facilitate graduate and post-graduate distance education to meet the needs of the society.

The college organize various career counselling sessions by professional bodies and Institutes for the benefit of the students in terms of interviews preparation and identifying the career opportunities. Admissions are done on merit basis.
