Pachaiyappa's College for Men, Kanchipuram

Pachaiyappas College for Men, located in Nathapettai Village of Kanchipuram, was established in 1950. Affiliated to the University of Madras, this college was an outcome of contiguous efforts of Shri C Kandaswamy Mudaliar and Vallal Pachaiyappa Mudaliar. The college secured eligibility for the University Grants Commission under Acts 12B and 12F whereby it receives grants through Five-Year Plans. 
•    This college is a government - aided educational institution established in the memory of Vallal Pachaiyappa.
•    This institution is under the management of Pachaiyappa’s Trust, Chennai.

This college offers wide variety of courses and all the academic curricular syllabi is AICTE approved. It offers under graduate and post graduate degree courses. Also, the college actively promotes research works in large number of fields.

The college offers Under Graduate Courses in several subjects namely Economics, History, Tourism & Travel Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Commerce and Computer Application.

Post Graduate Courses offered by the college are Economics, History, Applied Microbiology, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science.

It also provides Research in the following subjects Commerce, Economics and History.

•    Amirthammal Scholarship- awarded to a student preferably from the Beri Chetty community. The scholarship is tenable for two years

•    Kariyapatta Ramanujiah Scholarship- awarded to a student who passes the Pre-University Examination with Sanskrit or Telugu as his first language and joins the B.A. class. The scholarship is tenable for two years

•    John Bruce Norton Scholarship- awarded to the student of Pachaiyappa's College who secures the highest place in the Pre-University Examination and joins the B.A. Class in the college

•    Sir Henry Stokes Scholarship- awarded to the best student of the College who have taken Mathematics Major in the B.Sc. class after passing the Pre-University examination from Pachaiyappa’s College.

•    Dr.Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar Scholarship- awarded to the most deserving student of the Tamil branch of the PUC to enable the student to join the Tamil branch of the B.A. degree course in the college

•    Appandai Mallinath Jain Scholarship- awarded to the best Tamil Jain student, who, has secured the highest place in the Pre-University examination & have joined this College

•    Southern India Chamber of Commerce Scholarship- awarded to the poor deserving student who ranked first among the Pre-University Commerce students of the college and have joined the B.Com. Course

•    P.Guruswami Mudaliar Scholarship- awarded to poor students belonging to the Vellala community of the Pre –University Class; or otherwise, to poor and deserving Non-Brahmin students is awarded the scholarship
