My sister studies in UIET Chandigarh, and its an excellent institution both spatially and academically. Chandigarh is going to be one of the most flourishing IT cities in India - which enhances the scope for those students who wish to pursue a career in the field of computer science. You may also want to focus on these when comparing both- Tuition Fee- It has an affordable tuition fee if you compare it with IIIT UNA. Youll have to pay INR 82,000 as one years tuition fee for the BE program at UIET Chandigarh; youd have to pay INR 1.02 lakhs per semester for the B.Tech program at IIIT UNA. Faculty- IIIT UNA has 17 members for the CSE department, and all of them are guest faculty members. UIET also has 10-15 teachers who are very motivating. Study Environment- Youd feel a healthy level of competition in the CSE department because thered be all-rounders and achievers in the class to motivate you to develop. Both UIET Hoshiarpur and UIET Chandigarh provide a degree from Punjab University. I guess the highlighted difference you would find are the cities in which they are located and the campus life. Here’s a brief insight into the courses.

UIET Chandigarh may not be the best institute for B.E. CSE as very few faculty members provide quality learning to students. But if you are already into coding, then it really does not matter.

To sail through CSE in any other college (including UIET), apart from IIT, you need to keep in mind that CSE covers the overall computer learnings, starting from silicon to single printf. You need to focus on the concepts and core subjects like Operating System, Computer Architecture, Digital Electronics, Principles of Compiler Design, and Computer Networks. No institute can provide a surety to develop your coding skills. It depends upon your self-improvements.

The choice must be done purely based on your interest. If you are not that interested in coding and if you take a lot of time to understand the core language, there is no point in opting CS even if it's in high demand. Once you enjoy what you are learning you will succeed in your job position. Otherwise, there is no point in being hung up in a course which you don't enjoy and for four years or even for the rest of your life.
