Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) department was established in 1974 at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. First of its kind, IME offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs including M.Tech., MBA, along with Doctoral degree. In addition to the regular programs, IME IIT also provides an additional post doctoral program and Minor in IME program too. IME IIT Kanpur Admission for the academic year 2022 has been concluded.

M.Tech program offered by IME has a total intake of 26 students. Similarly, the 2-year MBA program has a total intake of 78 students. The Dual degree programs of IME IIT offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees viz. BS./B.Tech +MBA or B.S./B.Tech+M.Tech of 6 years duration.
