Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Admssion 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility and Selection Criteria

At the undergraduate level, the college offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program for the candidates opting to build their career in Medicine and Surgery. The programme takes 5.5 years to complete the duration period. The MBBS programme has an intake capacity of 100 seats.

Candidates need to clear 10+2 level or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects, from a well recognized educational institute to satisfy the eligibility criteria of the course.

Candidates interested in MBBS are required to appear in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG), a national level entrance exam which is regulated by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The college offers a number of Nursing program at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. B.Sc in Nursing is a course of four years whereas M.Sc in Nursing is a course of two years.

To meet the eligibility criteria of B.Sc Nursing, candidates need to pass 10+2 level examination in PCB combination (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with minimum 50% marks. To apply for M.Sc programme, candidates need to have a B.Sc Nursing degree along with teaching or clinical experience.

Admission in the B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing program offered by the college is done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination. For the M.Sc (N) program, candidates must have teaching or clinical experience of one year.

The college caters Medical courses like, Doctor of Medicine (MD) along with Master of Surgery (MS) under a duration period of three years with multiple specializations. Candidates need to acquire an MBBS degree from any recognized university to fulfil the eligibility criteria of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences.

Candidates seeking admission in MD and MS program need to appear in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG), a national level entrance test that is conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE) as per the norm of the supreme court.

The college also offers superspeciality Medical courses like Doctorate of Medicine (DM), The Master of Surgery (Latin: Magister Chirurgiae) M.Ch. and Doctor of Surgery (Doctor Chirurgiae) D.Ch. with a duration period of three years each.

To meet the eligibility criteria of each of the program, candidates need to hold a MD / MS degree in relevant discipline from an authorized university or institute.

 For all the superspeciality medical courses, the college gives admission to the candidates through a counselling round.
