DUK was established by the Government of Kerala by upgrading Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management-Kerala, which was set up in the year 2000.

The institution caters M.Sc, Ph.D programes to the candidates aiming their career in the field of Science, Economy, Computer Science etc.
- The minimum eligibility for a candidate to apply for M.Sc. is a B.Sc. degree in the relevant field.
- Master’s degree/UGC-NET/GATE/ICAR/KSCSTE/CSIR/NBHM/ICSSR/M.Phil will be a mandate to apply for any of the Ph.D. courses offered.
- Admission to M.Tech, M.Sc and PGDeG courses are done on the basis of scores in Digital University Aptitude Test (DUAT).

DUK M.Sc & M.Tech Admission 2023
The institution serves postgraduate program of Master of Science (M.Sc) in Computer Science and Master of Technology (M.Tech) of two years under different specializations. Candidates need to hold a bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline to be considered as eligible to get admission in M.Sc programme.
The candidates seeking admission in M.Sc and M.Tech program offered by IIITM, need to go through an admission procedure comprising two steps.
- Students seeking admission in M.Sc programme are selected through an DUAT followed by an interview under the supervision of CUSAT.
- The final selection of the candidates is done through an interview from the short listed candidates of written test.
Key Note:
- GATE/NET score holders with valid score are exempted from the Entrance test. Similarly the rank holders of CAT conducted by CUSAT are also exempted from the Institute conducted test.
- Reservation of seats for SC/ST, OBC etc. is applicable as per CUSAT rules.
- Students of final year are also eligbile to apply for all the courses offered by the university.
- M.Sc. in Data Analyitcs is offered in two modes – full time and part time. Full time mode is of two years duration and part time mode is of three years duration.

IIITM-K Ph.D Admission 2023
The candidates seeking a research oriented career can opt the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme offered by DUK (IIITM) under various specializations. Candidates holding a Master’s level degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in qualifying examination or a minimum of CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale, are considered eligible for applying in Ph.D programme.
Candidates must have cleared the Departmental Admission test (DAT) to get admission in Ph.D programme.
Key Note:
- A candidate belonging to SC/ST community shall be eligible for concession upto 10% marks.
- Foreign candidates with sponsored scholorship program by GoI for undergoing Ph.D. program in India are also eligbile to apply.
