Shridevi College of Education, Tumkur

The Shridevi College of Education, Tumkur was established in 2007. It is affiliated by Tumkur University and is self-financed college. The college offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) courses. The college has been recognized by National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Shridevi College of Education. The Teacher education programme aims at preparing efficient classroom teachers who are well equipped with knowledge and skills together with recent trends in techniques and technologies of teaching process. The institute has well equipped Library in the campus offers excellent infrastructural facilities in reading, borrowing and reference to the students and teachers. The objective of college is to impart cognitive skills and professional communication to the teacher-trainee and to make him “a man of moral values and noble ideals” to mould his pupil to be useful to the society, by developing scientific attitude and temper.
