Sheth Motilal Nathaibhai Contractor College of Education envisions developing a student’s values and attitude towards life, research and development and discharging duties responsibilities towards the making of the state and the nation. It was founded in an ancient town Darbhavati. This college initially used the building of Arts and Science College, then was given fund for its building by the owner of an old electricity company, Sheth Girdharlal Motilal contractor named the college after his father, Sheth Motilal Nathalal Contractor.
